Return to BlogJune 20 - WE need to pray
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
Waking up in the UK is a scary thing nowadays. You just don’t know what the headline are going to read. I suppose in other countries it is much worse but growing up and living here most of my life, it just seemed to be the place that people came to from other countries where the living climate was not so stable. Here are some headlines that I did not struggle to find. If you want to read them in further detail, just click on any underlined links.
- Man dies as van hits mosque crowd
- Portugal in mourning as fire kills dozens
- Two dead in attack at Mali tourist resort
- Baltimore asks FBI for help: ‘Murder is out of control’
Please set aside today to pray for these world events. I am certain in your own countries there are incidents that I do not know of, but as Christians we need to pray as this situation is only going to get worse before Jesus comes.
Prayer is more power than we realise.
